This wonderful trio of stories about Chloe and Maude is a classic that has been completely redrawn with vibrant colors. Each story moves along with two best friends that are often different, and how they find a common place in their enjoyment of different things. Art, the outdoors, and a sleepover.
VERDICT: This is one of my favorite children’s authors. She creates engaging illustrations that draw both adults and children into the subject, and colors that jump off the page. The expressions on the characters are the key to the stories and make us laugh and more importantly, identify what is being expressed. These stories are a great re-do of a wonderful classic.
