Book review: Astronauts, by Margaret J. Goldstein

Goldstein, Margaret J. Astronauts.  (Space Discovery Guide series) Lerner Publications, 2017. $30.42. ISBN 9781512425888. 48 pages. Includes glossary, selected bibliography, further reading and websites, and index. Ages 9-14. P8 Q8

With amazing photographs and labelled diagrams, this non-fiction book about astronauts explores what it is like to be an astronaut.  It provides some basic history of space explorations.  The focus is on what life is like in space and living on the International Space Station.  All the captions have a stand out against a yellow background.  The glossary words are not bolded in the text.  Some pages have edged patterns like solar panels on the space station. Additional resources are also available online.

Verdict:  Great addition to a library as it provides up to date information about what astronauts have done.
