Book review: Bunny Dreams, by Peter McCarty

McCarty, Peter. Bunny dreams. Henry Holt and Company, 2016. unp. $16.99. ISBN:978-0-8050-9687-3. Gr. K+. P8 Q8

mccarty-bunny-dreamsBunny dreams is a book that I would read aloud to younger kids as a bed time story. I see other possibilities for this book to: introducing an animal unit, or a unit on counting and it would also help to introduce discussions of the many different situations in the book. The bunnies are illustrated as fat, cute, soft and warm and will appeal to younger children.

Verdict: A great book to read aloud in many different situations.

November 2016 review by Carol Bernardi.

[Editor’s note: A steam of round bunnies dream their way through the night, occasionally joined by a chicken.]
