panziera-little-brother-pumpkin-headA little boy is going to be a big brother but his mother is doing some very strange and embarrassing things.  All she wants to eat is pumpkin.  The boy has a dream where the baby is turning into a pumpkin head with nothing in his head but pulp and seeds!  The boy comes up with a plan to help his unborn sibling by making lists and recordings of all of the things that every child should know.  Thankfully the baby is born normal and he even smiles at his brother.

Verdict:  This book is just okay.  There are a lot of books about being a big brother and sister but this one leaves a lot to be desired.  The boy and his family are very flat as far as a book characters go.  He is hard to root for.
