Green Sparkling JewelThis is the first book of an early chapter book series aimed at newly independent readers. Sisters Tori and Miranda are spending their summer with their grandmother, a retired veterinarian, on her ranch. Though the two sisters do not always get along, Tori is fascinated by the ponies on the ranch and Miranda loves the puppies.  With quick moving story dotted with illustrations, these books will not sit on your shelf for long.  The story plot in Sparkling Jewel revolves around Tori’s love of a rowdy pony named Jewel. Jewel runs away and the girls question Jewel’s love of freedom and wonder about Jewel’s motivation to return to the wild ponies.
