Thorpe Into the WavesLainey gets Sunny, her first pet goldfish, and she is eager to share it with her friends at Pixie Hollow. She places the fishbowl with Sunny in a creek while she seeks the fairies. Rani finds Sunny in captivity and releases him into the creek. Rani is a fairy without wings. She prefers to spend her time swimming rather than flying even with pixie dust. Soon, Rani learns that she has unknowingly caused Lainey distress by losing her pet.  All of the friends set out in pursuit of Sunny. They encounter Peter Pan, white water rapids, dangerous waterfalls, Tock the crocodile, water sprites, and mermaids. Will they find Sunny? Will he be the same after his unexpected freedom? This book is currently in the hands of a reluctant reader who eagerly continues turning the pages.
