Book review: Tiptoe Tapirs, by Hanmin Kim

Kim, Hanmin. Tiptoe Tapirs. Holiday House, 2013. $16.95. ISBN 978-0-8234-3395-7. Unp. Ages 4-8. P8/Q8

Kim Tiptoe TapirsThe pictures are very simple, with muted colors on white pages, using just a few images to tell the story. I like the clean look of the pages. This is a story of the noisy jungle and the quiet tapir and her baby who tiptoe everywhere. They had to save the leopard (who was actually trying to eat them) when a hunter came. They were so good at tiptoeing and being quiet that they helped the leopard escape the hunter by showing him how to tiptoe. All of the other animals started to be quiet too and the hunter left because he thought all the animals were gone.
