Book review: I Can Roar!, by Frank Asch

Asch, Frank. I Can Roar! Kids Can Press, 2015. ISBN 978-1-77138-547-3. 20 pgs. Ages 2-4. P9/Q9

Asch I Can RoarI have read this story several times to my three year old twin granddaughters. This is a fun book for both the reader and the children.  Each page of this board book has a large (4-inch diameter) hole through which the reader can put their face.  The fun thing is that the reader can do noises like the animals on the page.  All of the pictures are fun but the snake is a little weird and doesn’t look much like a snake.   Children enjoy stories that involve them in learning animal sounds and this one adds a new dimension with becoming the face of the animal.
