Hoose Boys Who Challenged HitlerKnud Pedersen was deeply hurt when Adolf Hitlers’ troops marched into Denmark, doing so without his country really defending itself against them. The Danish government accepted the take over, becoming a protectorate of Germany. Knud Pedersen, 15 years-old at the time, and a group of boys from his school, quietly started to sabotage the Germans occupying his city. Moving to another city doesn’t stop him, he puts himself and others in danger in an attempt to stop the Germans. Knud and others with him are arrested, tried in court and jailed with other political prisoners. When he was released he again took up arms against the Germans.
