Lusted Civic UnrestAt the current time, civic unrest is a vital topic as protests have increased within the 21st century. This book follows the series format, beginning with a history and timeline of the subject and incorporating biographies of leaders. Fortunately, it is up-to-date, covering the Ferguson (MO) situation which returned this summer on the first anniversary of Michael Brown’s killing, and it also covers global issues in the Middle East, South Africa, and India as well as those in the United States. In addition, a chapter discusses the importance of social media and transparency. As usual in the series, the activities are very useful in a curriculum, encouraging putting theories and concepts into practice.
