Busch Lion LionA little boy is looking for his lion and encounters a lion who is looking for lunch. The young boy tries to find something that the lion could eat but everything has something wrong with it. The lion just can’t eat anything that the boy finds. The lion is also attacked by some of the animals, snapping turtles, humming birds and skunks which bring the lion to his back. The young boy jumps into the lion’s mouth assuring him that he will save him. With the aid of a flash light the young boy finds his kitty, Lion, in the lion’s stomach. The lion then sneezes them all out of his mouth. The illustrations are done in watercolor, gouache, and Wolff pencil on handmade watercolor paper. December 2014 review by Carol Bernardi.
